The Catechism of the Good Shepherd is a hands on program for children up to 12 years of age to learn more about their faith and to grow in their spiritual lives and relationship with the Lord. We are presently looking for a few volunteers who would be interested in working as leaders to run the program here at Holy Name of Mary parish. This is a large commitment of time, especially at the beginning, but will be one of the most rewarding spiritual and personal times of growth that you will experience. CATECHISM OF THE GOOD SHEPHERD

‘The Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (CGS) is a Montessori-based religious formation program for children, beginning at the age of three. It seeks to create and facilitate a sacred, “hands-on” space for children in which both the children and the catechist can hear, ponder and celebrate the most essential mysteries of the Christian faith as revealed in the scriptures and the liturgy.’

We are presently looking for a few volunteers who would be interested in working as leaders to run the program here at Holy Name of Mary parish. This is a large commitment of time, especially at the beginning, but will be one of the most rewarding spiritual and personal times of growth that you will experience. There is a CGS course for leaders starting July 9 and runs until July 14 from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm in Ottawa. The parish will pay the cost of registration.
