Cemetery Committee

The Cemetery Team maintains three cemeteries that belong to Our Parish. The Holy Name of Mary (St. Mary’s) Cemetery at 5604 County Road 29, in Almonte offers burial plots for both casket as well as urn interment. A columbarium is available with inurnment niches for cremated remains. Our two other cemeteries in Clayton (Ramsay Concession 2B) and Ramsay Concession 12 are both closed for interment.  All three cemeteries are lovingly looked after by volunteers and new team members are always welcome.

Because of our belief and hope in the Resurrection, we know earthly death is not the end, but rather the door through which we must pass to gain eternal life.

For 200 years in and round the Almonte area the burial needs of our Catholic faithful have been entrusted – under the oversight of successive pastors – to dedicated volunteers and groundskeepers. The Holy Name of Mary Parish (St. Mary’s) Cemetery offers both burial plots for casket as well as urn interment. A columbarium is available with inurnment niches for cremated remains. The cemetery provides a final resting place in peaceful and well-maintained surroundings.

The Cemetery is located at 5604 County Road 29, in Almonte ward. 

The Cemetery Team is also charged with maintaining our other two cemeteries which are both closed for interment.  These cemeteries mark time in perpetual welcome for visitors, genealogy researchers, families and friends of our dearly departed. Find one of these cemeteries at 1932 Ramsay Concession 12, Almonte, On  and the other at 2901 Ramsay Concession 2B, Clayton On.

Cemetery Service

Each August or September, a Mass is celebrated within Holy Name of  Mary’s Cemetery (weather permitting) allowing loved ones a chance to pray for and visit the graves of their family members and friends who have passed away.
